Symphony at Dawn

~~~~~~
Across skies, the sun starts to limn
Waking up to a morning hymn
Roosters’ crow and sparrows tweet
In deep slumber, an alarm sweet
Strumming upon the leafy ground
Sweepers crafting a hip sound
Coffee poured and buckets filled
Streams gurgling, dreams fulfilled.
In the kitchen, vessels clang and fall
At a crescendo, milkman starts to call
Telephones ring, radio springs alive
Joggers pant, in harmony all dive.
As the band plays, starts all festivity
From stillness of night, a sudden levity
To awaken me, do thy make all the fuss
In pure merriment, I wake up thus
Fill my ears again, before I yawn
Haunt with visuals of a glorious Eon
From morning dew, a lesson reborn
Learn and listen to symphony at dawn
All this is very much part of India.I really miss it in USA.no milkman,no vessels clanging, no radio or TV talking to 'itself'.I have 2 more months to go and can't wait to get back!
your poem was good.rekindled memories!
Hey man...You have beautifully meandered this morning time session. Could not help but think of Alfred Lyod Tenneson...Also thought you have the biggest potential and you would be an acclaimed writer one day. This is just so simple and picturscque...Be it an alien or a human who does not know wht morning is like --- they read this poem and they have it all...A time of the day is so well drafted. :)
Awww!!
I have this sudden feeling that enwraps me out of the blue, of having got up from bed, and stretched myself contentedly all ready for a pot of coffee that I am abt to make.
