Amidst the Flames

Fire! Fire! , Fire Everywhere
Hungry and at rage, my life does it seek
What is it that I fear more?
The raging fire or my loss of words to speak

In my thoughtful utopia, free birds fly
Reality has cast chains, will they ever break?
Should my duties lead me, or for my rights; cry
At crossroads, what remains is one path to take.

Learnt, I have of battles won and lost
Is it the fear of the eventual loss?
Or the mere reluctance before the battle-cry
At dusk, wherever I stand, my eyes shan’t be dry

Drowsy in gloom, yet I know that I must move
I know I might just burn up in the flames
Amidst all pain, my soul smiles and says
“I am so glad you never ran away”

My freedom, peace and oneself. Fear exists inside everyone but it only showsup when you feel insecure.

A bautiful poem from you and love that picture.

Hey...Neat one!

"Is it the fear of the eventual loss?" -So valid, we loose some n gain some but we have the fear of doomsday eventhough we all know we r going to loose ourselves, we r all gng to die one day but we fear the ultimate loss in several ways! :)

life is a battle...amazing and do we fear?almost everything...from diseases to even steping on a stone...or even just thinking....

you have put that amazingly well..

what we bury is what we reap...

Intricate words...from being there to the end of the battle! winning or losing is altogether a different aspect but going thru it with grace and giving it you best shot is what counts !

Loved this one....

Hello Srijith!
It's beautiful poem. And also depicts your contemporary life.:)~
It's great that amongst all odds you choose to move ahead, this is life.:)

Take Care.

@Priya: Yes you`re right, our insecurity helps us reveal our fire to ourselves and It is real courage when we set to conquer that insecurity against all odds.!

@Scribblez: Loss is a relative term indeed, everyone of us have our own dear things to lose. and then there is the eventual loss of soul.

@Lalitha: Thanks a Lot! :)

@Coffee: Nice to know that!, Thanks!

@Vishesh: THanks a lot. for your appreciation, my friend.!

@Seema: Yes giving it our best shot, with that little common good in our minds, that supernatural consciousness in our souls, that is what matters.!

@Sunil: Yes, sunil against all odds.. moving ahead.. :) Thank You for that..!

Eventually, all/everything ends up in flames, knowing this truth ,i think there should be no more fears left within.

Srijith, it took some time to understand this one, On rethinking it, my mind could interpret it very well.

"I am glad you never ran away..."
GReat Inspiring lines.

Sound the bugle now - tell them I don't care
There's not a road I know - that leads to anywhere

you're a soldier - fighting in a battle
To be free once more -Yes that's worth fighting for.

thankyou.
